What a day out this will be... In 2 parts.. Guided tour and Medieval Market

 

We will have a guided tour with headsets from 10am to 12noon approx with the purpose of the tour to discover the most important places in Orihuela. We will visit one of the most important monasteries in the whole area which has churches' paintings from the XVI centuries (Santo Domingo Monastery).

Then off to the medieval market which this year is celebrating the 25th anniversary and it is one of the biggest in the whole Valencian community. Get ready to travel to the middle ages with all the stalls and activities that will take place that weekend.

 

Every year the old part of the town becomes the ideal setting for recreating the middle ages when it puts on its Medieval Market. Many look forward to the market, there are fun activities for all ages: music, dance, puppet shows, theatre shows and workshops where some of the oldest professions can be seen. Enjoy the special ambiance where the smell of spices, the colour of the craftsmen's work and products and the taste of foods at the different stalls makes a visit a true festival for the senses!
