To start the day, we will take you to the town of Caravaca which is one of the most historic towns in Southern Spain, where the traditional Running of the Wine Horses is held every 2nd May.

You can visit the famous wine horse museum to view all the stunning embroidered cloaks that the horses wear or take a trip in the trolley train up to the Basilica, or just enjoy the beautiful town and its history. Have a lovely lunch in one of the fabulous restaurants which can be found in the town squares before we had off back to the coach for part 2 of our day....Calasparra

 

Then we get back on the coach and head off to the Sanctuary of the Virgin of Hope just outside Calasparra which is carved into the rock & dates back to the 17th Century, where you will have time to enjoy the peace and tranquillity found here.

There is a restaurant should you want to have a drink or snack in the wonderful surroundings.
